The Audio Gd NFB-5 takes advantage of the well regarded WM8741 D/A chip, utilising two of them in a dual-mono configuration . The Wolfson DAC chip boasts dynamic and detailed sound with a wide and incredibly deep soundstage. It is not harsh in slightest, with many users reporting it being forgiving of poorer recordings.

The Audio Gd NFB-5 uses the high-quality WM8805 S/PDIF receiver, supporting up to 24Bit/96KHz via USB and 24Bit/192KHz via Coaxial and Optical inputs.

The fixed level line output takes the signal straight from the DAC chip, allowing you to connect the NFB-5 to an external preamplifier or headphone amp. The NFB-5 can also be used as a preamp with the variable line out, so you can connect it to a power amplifier and use it to control the volume.
