The Audio Gd FUN takes advantage of the well regarded Dual Wolfson WM8741 as the D/A chip. The Wolfson DAC chip boasts dynamic and detailed sound with a wide and incredibly deep soundstage. The WM8741 is also more forgiving to poorly recorded tracks giving your music a slightly warm sound signature.

The Audio Gd FUN uses a WM8805 S/PDIF receiver supporting up to 24Bit/96KHz input files via USB and 24Bit/192KHz via Coaxial and Optical inputs.

The FUN uses a 1/4 inch TRS headphone jack to drive headphones. The line output is a fixed level and is the signal straight from the DAC chip, allowing you to connect it to an external preamplifier or headphone amp. The preamp output means the ALPS pot can be used to control the output volume.

The FUN features a removable opamp (operational amplifier). Audio Gd produces the OPA Earth, OPA Moon and OPA Sun discrete opamps which can be bought as an upgrade and influence the sound signature allowing you to tune the unit to your own musical taste.
