The all new Reference Nine is another in a long line of great DAC's from Audio Gd.
It guarantees performance levels greater than the DAC 3REF it replaces, using four of the highly regarded PCM1704UK D/A chips. The use of high speed diamond differential output circuits ensures a high analysing ability, excellent linearity and low phase distortion. Extraction of detail is a real forte, with the use of a high-speed, low noise transistor outputs able to capture even the most minute nuances in any piece of music.
The Reference Nine utilises Audio Gd's own digital signal processor, the DSP-1, to ensure extremely low levels of jitter and zero feedback. Three carefully shielded R-core transformers are used, with twenty-one groups of voltage regulators combined in two stages allowing for a purer power delivery. Even the control circuit is powered with a separate regulator to ensure silent operation with no background noise. Both the digital and analogue L/R channels are separated internally, reducing drastically any interference and distortion.
Inputs are provided via AEC, BNC, optical and coaxial. Two L/R RCA connections provide the output. A USB version is available using the Tenor TE7022 chip supporting up to 96Khz/24bit.
This item is covered by our one year standard warranty. Audio Gd provide a subsequent two year guarantee after the first year.
